Supporting Communities in Crisis
PTP has been working as Back Donor to Emergency Response Rooms (ERRs) and other Mutual aid groups, by receiving funds from international organizations, UN agencies and passing them on to ERRs and other mutual aid groups to implement humanitarian activities in Sudan.
The conflict in Sudan that erupted on April 15, 2023, has created an unprecedented humanitarian emergency. With international NGOs, the Diplomatic Corps, and UN agencies exiting the country, the burden of support has fallen on resilient national NGOs and community initiatives.
The ERRs possess deep-rooted knowledge of the local culture, language, geography, and socio-economic landscapes.
Fueled by a strong sense of duty and courage, the ERRs have demonstrated unparalleled commitment to helping the Sudanese population.
The services provided by the ERRs are vital for the survival of many individuals and communities.
Access to food, clean water, shelter, and medical care remains critical for survival.
Initiatives aimed at bridging divides between communities and fostering unity amidst conflict.
Efforts to promote economic resilience and self-reliance among affected communities.
